Event Details

As part of our year-long Anniversary celebrations, join us on Sunday, July 18th as we present a magical and musical evening with two opera performances.

The Garden is once again honoured to collaborate with City Opera Vancouver!

Visitors will have the opportunity to join us at either 5:00pm or 6:30pm for a one-hour event. Each time slot will include a 30-minute performance by City Opera Vancouver, including one performance in either Mandarin or Cantonese.

Following the music guests are invited to explore not only the Gift Shop but the new exhibition: Rivers Have Mouths, the first of two art exhibitions from the public art program: Solidarity, which brings together local Indigenous and Chinese Canadian Artists.

It focuses on intergenerational dialogue and public education on wellbeing and recovery through art, history, knowledge and culture.

This event will take place in an outdoor setting and has a limited capacity of 45 guests for each time slot.

Admissions range from $5 to $25 as a suggested donation.

As a non-profit organisation all the money from our events helps in strengthening our mission as an inclusive, diverse and educational hub that promotes cultural heritage, learning and understanding in Vancouver.

The Garden’s primary entrance has been relocated to Keefer and Carrall St, right across from S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Simon K.Y. Lee Senior Care Home.

Due to current health guidelines, we are unable to provide beverages, however guests are encouraged to bring a bottle of water with them from home.
