IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to the recently updated Public Health Orders by Dr. Bonnie Henry dated December 21st 2021, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our tea club. At this point, we are only accepting private bookings to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff and everyone involved continues to be our key priority during these uncertain and ever-changing times. We want to thank everyone who has joined us and promise to come back as soon as possible to continue to share the traditions, rituals and conversations around tea.

We are thrilled to welcome back the popular tea club every second Wednesday (11am-12:30pm) and Saturday (1pm-2:30pm)!

Limited to 5 people per day!

Get an introduction to the traditional Chinese tea ceremony in the stunning setting of Vancouver’s classical Chinese garden! It’s a great opportunity to learn about Chinese tea culture, taste specialty teas, and make new tea friends.

Hosted by certified tea artist and expert, Lillian Li.

Bring your own small tea cup(less than 80ml) or purchase one in the Gift Shop. The Garden and our tea expert Lillian are very passionate about the traditions and cultural significance of a traditional tea ceremony. We wish to provide an authentic and unique experience that reflects the spirit of this ancient tradition.

Admission to the Garden is included with tea club ticket!

A small service fee will be added to each ticket in order to provide the online purchasing service.

About the instructor:

Lillian Li is a young talent with a passion to pure teas and tea art. She was born and raised in a very traditional Chinese family in Beijing, China, and she is very keen on traditional Chinese culture. Her late grandfather is a reputable traditional Chinese medicine doctor who taught her Chinese culture and how to keep good health.

She went to a college focused on Chinese culture to learn tea tasting and tea arts and got the Certificate of Tea Tasting and Tea Ceremony (both at senior level). Lillian was among the top 12 in International Tea-brewing Contest in 2015. During the 13 years of practicing tea tasting and tea ceremony, she travelled to more than 40 countries, including major tea-growing regions in southern China, Taiwan, Japan, India and Sri Lanka.

After moving to Vancouver in 2016, she made up her mind to thoroughly dedicate towards tea aesthetics and to bring the purest teas, most traditional tea culture and a healthier lifestyle to North America.
